Outreach & Sharing Corner
Redeemer Christian School is active in a variety of outreach services and projects throughout the school year. Current activities will be posted here. RCS feels our outreach programs are a way to teach our children how to serve our Lord and others at a young age.
In addition to our outreach ministry, we offer a "Sharing Corner" to help RCS families reach into our school community to serve each other.
Outreach Programs
In March, our STARS class will be making traditional pretzels with our "Young at Heart" friends of Redeemer Lutheran Church during Lent.
We have been notified that a local resident was recently deployed to Afghanistan and will be stationed in a remote area for 7-8 months. There will be very limited amenities - no running water or electricity. His family is asking the community for support in any way - no donation is too small. We are hoping that homemade cards (addressed to "Dear Marine") and letters will be dropped off at our school so that we can forward them onto him. Please keep all correspondence positive.
Other donations would also be greatly welcomed, such as:
ketchup, sugar, salt and pepper packets, food-power bars (no nuts), beef jerky, tuna fish/chicken in the pouches, candy, powder flavors to add to water, reading materials, black pens, batteries, athlete’s foot powered spray, socks (tube socks to wear with combat boots), any tins/plastic containers to put food in, donations to cover shipping, cream for hand and face, chap stick, eye wash, shaving cream, stuff for blisters on feet, insect repellant, baby wipes, funny stories, etc.
Please leave all donations at the school.

Items will be posted for one month. Please include your email and/or phone number to be contacted. You may attach a picture with your email for viewing.
Items being exchanged or needs being met will be done through the individuals, NOT through RCS.
This ministry has helped to serve many RCS families at RCS and we hope it will be a blessing to many more.
